I have to say that I am very pleased with the quality of these rustic dishes. They look delicate and rugged at the same time…
The color is a beautiful creamy chalk, with softly painted edges…the shapes and the surfaces are irregular (in a good rustic way). They look like they are one of a kind with a “hand thrown” quality…iow, no two look alike. Not sure how they achieved that in such mass production…but they did.
I needed only 8 sets and the big serving dishes, however, I liked them so much I ordered 12 sets, just in case we’ll have breakage…and with “little people” around the chances of that happening are pretty high…
One thing I love about Crate & Barrel (among many) is the fact that they keep their main collections in stock year after year, so you can replace broken pieces if you have to…
I have been doing a lot of research on rustic or twig flatware…and years ago there was not much in this category in the market… Now there is so much – it’s hard to choose…but that’s a good problem to have I guess…
Will post the findings very soon….
Until then, thanks for coming back to my blog and for following along…
See you soon,
Emily
